Narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'The most frequent supplication of the Prophet ﷺ was: 'O Allah, Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm on Your religion and Your obedience.' I asked: 'O Messenger of Allah, we believed in you and what you brought. Do you fear for us?' He replied: 'Yes, the hearts are between two fingers from the fingers of the Most Merciful. He turns them however He wills.' (Sunan At-Tirmidhi 3522. Graded Hasan by some scholars).
