O Allah, I ask You for the inability to act [when acting would be wrong], and the ability to act [when acting is right]; and freedom from blame [in fulfilling obligations], and strength to fulfill them; and gratitude for fulfilling them, and the desire to fulfill them. And I ask You, O Allah, for strength in religion, and strength in the body, and strength in the intellect, and strength in knowledge, and strength in Jihaad, and strength in patience. And I ask You, O Allah, for a straight path, and I ask You, O Allah, to keep away from desires. And I ask You, O Allah, for repentance before death, and mercy at death, and forgiveness after death. And I ask You, O Allah, for the pleasure of looking at Your Face, and longing to meet You, without hardship that causes harm, nor trials that lead astray. O Allah, adorn us with the adornment of faith, and make us guides who are guided.
Allahumma inni as'alukal-'ajza 'anil-fi'li, wal-qudrata 'alal-fi'li, wa bara'atadh-dhimmah, wal-quwwata 'alal-adaa'i, wash-shukra 'alal-adaa'i, wal-hawa 'alal-adaa'i, wa as'alukal-lahumma quwwatan fid-deeni, wa quwwatan fil-jasadi, wa quwwatan 'il-'aqli, wa quwwatan fil-'ilmi, wa quwwatan fil-jihaadi, wa quwwatan fis-sabri, wa as'alukal-lahumma tareeqatan qawimah, wa as'alukal-lahumma ijtinabash-shahawati, wa as'alukal-lahumma at-tawba qabla al-mawti, war-rahmata 'indal-mawti, wal-maghfirata ba'dal-mawti, wa as'alukal-lahumma ladhdhatan-nadzhari ila wajhik, wash-shawqa ila liqaa'ik, fi ghairi darra'a mudhirrah, wa la fitnatin mudhillah.
