Duas for seeking forgiveness from Allah
O Allah, I ask You for the doing of good deeds, and the abandoning of evil deeds, and to love the poor. And that You forgive me and have mercy on me. And if You intend to try Your creation, then take me to Yourself without putting me through trials. And I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds which bring me closer to Your love. O Allah, I ask You for guidance, and piety, and chastity, and contentment.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever enacted. Your decision concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any one of Your creation, or kept hidden in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my worries.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the cessation of Your blessings, the change of Your protection, the suddenness of Your vengeance, and all Your displeasure. And I seek refuge in You from the trials of this world and the Hereafter.
O Allah, forgive me all my sins, the minor and the major, the first and the last, the apparent and the hidden.
Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account is established.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the demise of Your blessings, the reversal of Your well-being, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that displeasures You. And I seek refuge in You from the evil deeds, desires, and corrupt inclinations.
Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.
O Allah, forgive me all of my sins, the minor and the major, the first and the last, the apparent and the hidden.
I seek forgiveness from Allah, besides Whom there is no true god, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting by Whom all subsist, and to Him I turn in repentance.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the disappearance of Your blessings, and the reversal of Your well-being, and the sudden affliction of Your punishment, and all of Your displeasure. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have sent forth, and from the evil of what I have held back.
There is no god but You; Glory to You! Indeed, I have been among the wrongdoers.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is executed. Your decision concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen which You possess, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sorrow, and the reliever of my anxiety.
