O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever enacted. Your decision concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any one of Your creation, or kept hidden in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my worries.
Allahumma inni 'abdik, ibnu 'abdik, ibnu amatik, nasiyatii biyadika, madin fiyya hukmuk, 'adlun fiyya qada'uk, as'aluka bikulli ismin huwa laka sammaita bihi nafsak, aw anzaltahu fi kitibik, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqik, aw ista'tharta bihi fi 'ilm-il-ghaybi 'indak, an taj'al al-Qur'ana rab'ia qalbi, wa nura sadri, wa jala'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi.

Source & Authentication
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'There is no one who has been afflicted by distress and grief, and then says: (Allahumma inni 'abdik, ibnu 'abdik, ibnu amatik, nasiyatii biyadika, madin fiyya hukmuk, 'adlun fiyya qada'uk, as'aluka bikulli ismin huwa laka sammaita bihi nafsak, aw anzaltahu fi kitibik, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqik, aw ista'tharta bihi fi 'ilm-il-ghaybi 'indak, an taj'al al-Qur'ana rab'ia qalbi, wa nura sadri, wa jala'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi) -- 'O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever enacted. Your decision concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any one of Your creation, or kept hidden in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my worries -- except that Allah will take away his distress and grief and will give him joy in their place.' So it was said: 'O Messenger of Allah, should we learn these words?' He replied: 'Yes, indeed. It is necessary for everyone who hears them to learn them.' (Musnad Ahmad 23671. Graded as Hasan by some scholars).
