It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'When Allah created His creation, He wrote upon His Throne: Verily, My Mercy overcomes My Wrath.' It was also narrated that Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Allah the Almighty has said: 'I am as My servant thinks I am, and I am with him when He remembers Me. If He remembers Me in himself, I remember him in Myself; and if He remembers Me in a gathering, I remember him in a gathering better than it. If he draws near to Me by a hand span, I draw near to him by a cubit; and if he draws near to Me by a cubit, I draw near to him by a fathom. If he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.' It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When one of you says, 'I believe in Allah,' then he says, 'I believe in Allah and His Messengers,'' then he has fulfilled his duty.'
