Duas for various evening activities and settling down
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing can cause harm in the earth nor in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing can cause harm on earth or in heaven, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and deeds that are accepted.
O Allah, I ask You for the goodness of this night and the goodness of what is in it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this night and the evil of what is in it. O Allah, I ask You for a heart devoted to You, beneficial knowledge, and truthful certainty. And I seek refuge in You from misleading guidance, and from the evil of hearing, and the evil of sight, and the evil of the tongue, and the evil of the heart, and the evil of seed/desire. O Allah, I ask You for pure sustenance and accepted deeds. O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and contentment.
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth nor in the sky can harm, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow. I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness. I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess. I seek refuge in You from the overwhelming of debt and the subjugation of men.
In the name of Allah, we have entered the evening and the entire creation has entered the evening, and all sovereignty belongs to Allah. All praise is due to Allah. There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. My Lord, I ask You for the goodness of this night and the goodness of what follows it. I seek refuge in You from the evil of this night and the evil of what follows it. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and the evil of old age. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire and the punishment of the grave.
O Allah, I seek refuge with You from worry and grief, from incapacity and laziness, from stinginess and cowardice, and from the burden of debt and from being overpowered by men.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds.
O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove this suffering. Heal, for You are the Healer. There is no healing but Your healing, a healing that leaves no illness behind.
In Your name, my Lord, I lay down my side, and in Your name I lift it. If You should take my soul, then have mercy upon it. And if You should return it, then protect it with what You protect Your righteous servants.
In Your name, my Lord, I lay down my side, and in Your name I raise it. If You should take my soul, then have mercy upon it. And if You should return it, then protect it with what You protect Your righteous servants.
