O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever effective. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any one of Your creation, or have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the delight of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my grief, and the reliever of my worries.

The narrator said: I went to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of Allah, I have become intensely grief-stricken. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Shall I not teach you words with which you can say goodbye to your grief? He said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah. He said: O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. He said: So I said these words, and Allah removed my grief, and my worries were replaced by relief. (Narrated by Ahmad, and it is a Hasan hadith)
