Duas for relief from anxiety, worry, and distress
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the overwhelming of debt and the subjugation of men.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the discontinuation of Your blessings, and the change of Your protection, and the suddenness of Your punishment, and all of Your displeasure. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from my worries and my grief, from my inability and my laziness, from my cowardice and my stinginess, from the burden of debt and the overpowering of men.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your decree concerning me prevails. Your judgment of me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or that You have taught to any of Your creation, or that You have sent down in Your Book, or that You have retained in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my anxiety.
O Allah, I ask You for the good of it, the good of what is within it, and the good of its people. And I seek refuge in You from the evil of it, the evil of what is within it, and the evil of its people.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your judgment upon me is inevitable. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept with You in the knowledge of the unseen. I ask that You make the Quran the delight of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my worries.
