O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the discontinuation of Your blessings, and the change of Your protection, and the suddenness of Your punishment, and all of Your displeasure. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from my worries and my grief, from my inability and my laziness, from my cowardice and my stinginess, from the burden of debt and the overpowering of men.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa fuji'ati niqmatik, wa jami'i sakhatik. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min hammi wa huzani, wa 'ajzi wa kasali, wa jubni wa bukhli, wa dala'id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijal.

Yahya related to me from Malik, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from Abd Allah ibn al-Hakam, from Abu al-Hakam al-Ghaffari, from Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that she heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, often say when he had given the salutation of peace at the end of the prayer: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the discontinuation of Your blessings, and the change of Your protection, and the suddenness of Your punishment, and all of Your displeasure. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from my worries and my grief, from my inability and my laziness, from my cowardice and my stinginess, from the burden of debt and the overpowering of men.' Yahya said: I heard Malik say: 'The burden of debt is the weight of debt, and the overpowering of men is their winning over you.'
