O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever executed. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have named Yourself with, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or kept in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the delight of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my anxiety.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the temptations of devils and from their presence.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the cessation of Your blessings, the reversal of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all of Your displeasure.
All praise is due to Allah Who has clothed me with this garment and provided it for me without any strength or power from myself.
O Allah, I ask You for the goodness of this matter and the goodness of what is in it and the goodness of what it is endowed with. And I seek refuge in You from the evil of this matter and the evil of what is in it and the evil of what it is endowed with.
O Allah, grant my soul its piety, and purify it, for You are the best to purify it. You are its Guardian and its Master. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart that does not fear (You), from a soul that is not satisfied, and from a supplication that is not answered.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provisions, and accepted deeds.
I seek Your forgiveness.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever effective, and Your decision concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to anyone in Your creation, or taught to any one of Your creation, or have preserved in Your knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, and a remover of my sadness, and a banisher of my worries.
