Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and do not place in our hearts resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful.
O Allah, guide me to the best of manners, for none guides to the best of them except You. And turn me away from bad manners, for none turns away from bad manners except You.
O Allah, forgive [Name of the deceased] son of [Father's Name], and elevate his rank among those who are guided. And grant his descendants who are left behind. And forgive us and him, O Lord of the worlds. And widen his grave and illuminate it for him.
Here I am, O Allah, at Your service. Here I am, there is no partner You have. Here I am, indeed all praise, grace, and dominion is Yours. You have no partner.
I seek forgiveness from Allah, besides Whom there is no true god, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting by Whom all subsist, and to Him I turn in repentance.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of the False Christ (Dajjal), and I seek refuge in You from the trial of life and death. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from sin and debt.
O Allah, grant me well-being in my body. O Allah, grant me well-being in my hearing. O Allah, grant me well-being in my sight. There is no god but You.
In Your name, my Lord, I lie down and in Your name I rise. If You take my soul, have mercy upon it, and if You restore it, protect it with what You protect Your righteous servants.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is executed. Your judgment upon me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen that is with You, to make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my grief, and the remover of my worries, and my leader and my beloved.
O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful, and enrich me with Your bounty, so that I may not need to seek from anyone but You.
O Allah, forgive him (mention name) and have mercy on him, and grant him well-being, and pardon him. Honor his reception and make his grave spacious. Wash him with water, snow, and hail. Cleanse him of sins just as white cloth is cleansed of dirt. Give him a home better than his home, and a family better than his family, and a spouse better than his spouse. Admit him to Paradise and protect him from the punishment of the grave and the punishment of the Fire.
O Allah, grant my soul its piety and purify it, for You are the best to purify it. You are its Guardian and its Master. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart that does not fear (You), from a soul that is not satisfied, and from a supplication that is not answered.
