Duas related to traveling
Glory be to Him Who has subjected this to us, and we could never have accomplished it by ourselves. And to our Lord we indeed are to return.
O Allah, we seek refuge in You from this journey of ours, [guide us to] piety and righteousness, and to deeds that please You. O Allah, make the depths of the earth easy for us and make this journey and its challenges beloved to us. Protect us from the hardships and loneliness of being away from home, and grant us refuge from returning to our family, wealth, and children in a bad state, and from the prayers of those absent against us.
O Allah, I ask of You in this journey righteousness and piety, and such deeds as are pleasing to You. O Allah, make this journey easy for us and make the distance short for us. O Allah, You are the Companion on the journey and the One who looks after the family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardships of the journey, from seeing sorrowful sights, and from a bad turn in wealth and family. And when he returned, he would say these words and add to them: We are returners, repenters, worshippers, and to our Lord we are thankful.
