Duas for sincere repentance and turning back to Allah
O Allah, forgive me my sin, all of it, the small and the great, the first and the last, the apparent and the hidden.
O Allah, I ask You for sincere repentance, and I seek refuge in You from disobedience to parents, from severing ties of kinship, from bad character, from a worldly life that separates me from my Hereafter, and from greed that humiliates me.
O Allah, I ask You, O Most Merciful of the merciful, that You accept my repentance, accept my righteous deeds from me, bless me in them, and help me with that.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever effective. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or have kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen. I ask that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my grief, and the reliever of my worries.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from theDeterioration of Your blessings, the change of Your protection, the suddenness of Your vengeance, and all that You are displeased with. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and I seek refuge in You from Hellfire, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of the Dajjal, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death.
O Allah, I ask You to enable me to do good deeds and abandon evil deeds, and to love the poor. And when You intend to test Your servants, take me to Yourself without subjecting me to trials. I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds which bring me closer to Your love.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever effective. Your judgment upon me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, and a departure for my sadness, and a reliever of my worries.
O Allah, if I have decided upon a matter and could not find a way to fulfill it, or if I have eaten food, or worn clothes, or married a woman, or divorced a woman, or crossed a river, or outrun a horse, or fattened a horse, or sworn an oath and found it to be otherwise than good, but swore upon it by something good, or swore upon it by an ignorant person, or swore upon it by something that does not belong to it, and then I was unable to fulfill it, then let that be an expiation for what I have sworn upon, and make it a means of drawing me closer to You. O mankind, fear your Lord and be mindful of the Day when no parent will be of any avail to their child, nor will any child be of any avail to their parent. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth, so let each soul be recompensed for what it earned. And this is something that Allah has decreed for us. But if I swore upon it by something good, or swore upon it by an ignorant person, or swore upon it by something that does not belong to it, and then I was unable to fulfill it, then let that be an expiation for what I have sworn upon, and make it a means of drawing me closer to You.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from associating anything with You that I know, and I seek Your forgiveness for what I do not know.
Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You. There is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.
O Allah, forgive me my sin, all of it, the small and the great, the first and the last, the open and the secret.
O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness in all matters, and determination in following the right path. I ask You for the things that make Your mercy incumbent, and the things that lead to Your forgiveness. I ask You to enable me to be grateful for Your blessings and to worship You well. I ask You for a sound heart and a truthful tongue. I ask You for the good You know, and I seek refuge in You from the evil You know. I ask Your forgiveness for what You know. Indeed, You are the Knower of the unseen.
