Duas during pregnancy, childbirth, and for newborns
The Adhan is called in the right ear of the boy, and the Iqamah in his left, and you pray for him, and name him. And Satan will not harm him.
All praise is due to Allah for what He has bestowed and for what He has tested. And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, He has no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger.
O Allah, guide me to the best of character, for none can guide to the best of it except You. And turn me away from bad character, for none can turn away bad character except You.
O Allah, make him/her blessed, guide him/her, and accept him/her from me with good acceptance.
O Allah, make him righteous and God-fearing, grant him wisdom, and cause him to grow in Islam a good growth.
O Allah, grant me well-being in my body. O Allah, grant me well-being in my hearing. O Allah, grant me well-being in my sight. There is no god but You. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disbelief and debt. I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. There is no god but You.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever executed. Your judgment on me is just. I ask You by every name You have called Yourself, or taught to any one of Your creation, or revealed in Your Book, or kept hidden in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the delight of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the remover of my anxieties.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and acceptable deeds.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever effective, and Your judgment over me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to anyone You created, or sent down in Your Book, or kept in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my grief, and the reliever of my worries.
I seek protection for you with the perfect words of Allah, from every devil and every poisonous reptile, and from every evil eye.
May Allah bless you in your gift, and may Allah thank the giver of your gift, and may he reach the maturity of your child, and may you be granted his righteousness.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
