اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ بَارًّا تَقِيًّا وَارْزُقْهُ حِكْمَةً وَأَنْبِتْهُ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ نَبَاتًا حَسَنًا

O Allah, make him righteous and God-fearing, grant him wisdom, and cause him to grow in Islam a good growth.

Allahumma'jalhu barran taqiyyan warzuqhu hikmatan wa anbit'hu fil-Islami nabaatan hasanan

Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A son was born to the Prophet (ﷺ) who said: "He has been blessed to you, and he has the right over you that his mother should name him, and that he should be circumcised when he is seven days old, and that his head should be wiped, and that his ear should be pierced, and that his 'aqiqah should be sacrificed." Ibn 'Abbas said: "Then the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'O Allah, make him righteous and God-fearing, grant him wisdom, and cause him to grow in Islam a good growth.'"
