Virtues & Benefits
This dua, taught by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, is a powerful shield for the newborn. It invokes Allah's perfect words for protection against unseen evils like devils (shayatin) and harmful influences ('ayn lammah). By making this a regular practice, we are essentially guiding our children, even in their earliest moments, to recognize that their ultimate safety and comfort lie with Allah, nurturing their natural fitrah (innate disposition) to worship and seek refuge in their Creator.

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet (ﷺ) used to seek Allah's protection for Al-Hasan and Al-Husain, saying: 'I seek protection for you both with Allah's perfect words, from every Satan and from every beast, and from every evil eye.'
