Duas for strength in old age and caring for elderly parents
O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion and my worldly affairs, my family and my property. O Allah, conceal my faults and secure my fears. O Allah, protect me from before me and from behind me, from my right and from my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your might from being struck from beneath me.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your decree concerning me is inevitable, and Your judgment of me is just. I ask You by every name You have called Yourself, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or kept in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my grief, and the reliever of my worries.
"Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and our offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous."
O Allah, forgive me my sins, all of them, the minor and the major, the first and the last, the secret and the public, the first of the sin and the last.
My Lord, grant me from among the righteous [offspring].
My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims.
O Allah, I ask You by Your knowledge of the unseen and by Your power over creation, keep me alive so long as You know that life is better for me, and take me away when You know that death is better for me. I ask You to make me fear You in secret and in public, and to make me utter the word of truth in times of contentment and anger. I ask You for moderation in poverty and wealth, and for a bliss that never ends, and for a comfort for my eyes that never ceases. I ask You for contentment after [Your] decree, and for a pleasant life after death, and for the sweetness of looking at Your Face, and for the eagerness to meet You. I seek refuge in You from distressing hardship and from misleading trials. O Allah, adorn us with the adornment of faith, and make us guides who are guided.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the evil whispers of Shaitaan and from their [evil] presence.
O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for Your forgiveness and Your well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my property. O Allah, conceal my faults and calm my fears. O Allah, protect me from before me and from behind me, from my right and from my left, and from above me. And I seek refuge in Your Greatness lest I be swallowed up from beneath me.
O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, protect me, and provide for me.
My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the company of] Your righteous servants.
O Allah, make all of my deeds righteous, and make them purely for Your sake, and do not let anyone have a share in them.
