Duas for improving akhlaq, manners, and behavior
Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You. Blessed is Your Name, and exalted is Your Majesty. And there is no god but You.
My Lord, grant me from among the righteous [offspring].
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from arrogance, envy, desires, heedlessness, humiliation, and poverty. And I seek refuge in You from misery, debt, poverty, and disgrace. And I seek refuge in You from arrogance, envy, desires, heedlessness, humiliation, and poverty. And I seek refuge in You from misery, debt, poverty, and disgrace.
O Allah, grant my soul its taqwa (piety/God-consciousness) and purify it, for You are the Best Purifier. You are its Guardian and its Master.
O Allah, make me better than they think, and forgive me for what they do not know, and do not hold me accountable for what they say.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the disappearance of Your blessings, the reversal of Your well-being, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that displeases You. I seek refuge in You from the torment of the grave, and I seek refuge in You from the ordeal of the Dajjal, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death.
O Allah, grant my soul its taqwa (consciousness of You), and purify it, for You are the Best Purifier. You are its Guardian and Master. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart that does not fear (You), from a soul that is not satisfied, and from a supplication that is not answered.
O Allah, I ask You to enable me to do good deeds, to abandon evil deeds, and to love the poor. And when You intend to test Your servants with some trial, take me to Yourself without succumbing to that trial. I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds which bring me closer to Your love.
O Allah, I ask You for a humble heart, and I ask You for beneficial knowledge, and I ask You for sincere conviction, and I ask You for a steadfast religion, and I ask You for well-being in the body, and I ask You for repentance before death, and I ask You for joy on the Day of meeting You, and I ask You for a soul at peace, certain of meeting You, and I ask You for Your abundant mercy, and I ask You for gratitude after ease, and I ask You for dignity in this world and the Hereafter, and I ask You for guidance, and piety, and chastity, and contentment.
O Allah, I ask You for doing good deeds, abandoning evil deeds, and loving the poor. I ask You to forgive me and have mercy on me. And if You intend to test Your servants with tribulation, then take me to Yourself without being tested.
O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and contentment.
