Duas for various evening activities and settling down
I seek forgiveness from Allah, the One whom there is no god but He, the Living, the Self-Sustaining. And I turn to Him in repentance.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His creation, and from the whisperings of devils and from their presence.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the overpowering of men.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the whispers of the devils and their presence.
In the name of Allah, I lay down my side. O Allah, forgive my sins, perfect my character, protect me from the evil of character, deeds, and desires, and fulfill my needs in this world and the Hereafter. Indeed, You have power over all things.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, from the evil of His servants, and from the promptings of the devils, and from their presence.
O Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, our Lord and Lord of all things, the Cleaver of the seed and the date-stone, the Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Criterion. I seek refuge in You from the evil of every thing You are seizing by its forelock. O Allah, You are the First, so there is nothing before You; You are the Last, so there is nothing after You; You are the Outward, so there is nothing above You; You are the Inward, so there is nothing beyond You. Settle my debt for me and enrich me from poverty.
O Allah, You have taken my soul and You will take it. To You belongs its life and death. If You keep my soul alive, protect it. If You cause it to die, forgive it. O Allah, I ask You for well-being.
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing can cause harm on Earth or in the Heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
O Allah, do not seize me in my heedlessness, do not let me be overtaken by heedlessness, and do not make me among the heedless.
O Allah, I ask You for the goodness of this night, its opening, its victory, its light, its blessings, and its guidance. And I seek refuge in You from the evil of this night and the evil of what comes after it.
