I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: "O Messenger of Allah, what a night I had last night! I was stung by a scorpion." Thereupon Allah's Messenger ﷺ said: "As to the evening you have recited, you would have been spared (from the harm of the scorpion) had you said: 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created' (A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq)." It was said to Abu Hurairah: "This is a supplication for protection from the heat." Abu Hurairah said: "It is a supplication for protection from all evil things."
