Evening remembrance and supplications
O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful, and make me independent of what You have made unlawful, and enrich me with Your grace, so that I may not need to ask anyone besides You.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from being overwhelmed by debt and being overcome by men.
In the name of Allah, I seek refuge in Allah's glory and His might from the evil of what I feel and fear.
We have entered the evening, and with it, the dominion belongs to Allah. All praise is due to Allah. There is no god but Allah, alone, without any partner. To Him belongs the sovereignty, and to Him belongs all praise, and He is over all things capable. My Lord, I ask You for the good of this night and the good of what comes after it. And I seek refuge in You from the evil of this night and the evil of what comes after it. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and the evil of old age. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire and the punishment of the grave.
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing can harm on earth nor in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.
Say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak, from the evil of whatever He has created, and from the evil of darkness when it settles, and from the evil of those who practice sorcery and blow on knots, and from the evil of the envier when he envies.'
O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my property. O Allah, conceal my faults and protect me from what frightens me. O Allah, protect me from in front of me, from behind me, from my right, from my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your Magnificence from being struck from beneath me.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
We have entered the evening and the entire dominion belongs to Allah. All praise is due to Allah. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, alone, without partner. O my Lord, I ask You for the goodness of this night and the goodness of what follows it. I seek refuge in You from the evil of this night and the evil of what follows it. O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and the evil of old age. O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire and the punishment of the grave.
O Allah! I have entered the evening, calling You to witness, and calling to witness the carriers of Your Throne, Your angels, and all of Your creation, that You are Allah, there is no god but You, alone, without partner, and that Muhammad is Your servant and Your Messenger.
O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad as You sent prayers upon Abraham and upon the family of Abraham. You are indeed Praiseworthy and Glorious. O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad as You sent blessings upon Abraham and upon the family of Abraham. You are indeed Praiseworthy and Glorious.
