All praise is due to Allah Who revived us after He caused us to die, and to Him is the resurrection. O Allah, I ask You for the goodness of this day and the goodness of what follows it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil of what follows it. O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and seek refuge in You from the Fire. O Allah, keep me away from falsehood and its people, and from backbiting and its people, and from tale-bearing and its people, and from lying and its people.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and deeds accepted (by You).
O Allah, grant me understanding of the religion and teach me the interpretation (of the Quran).
O Allah, unite our hearts, reconcile that which is between us, guide us to the paths of peace, deliver us from darkness to light, keep us away from all shameful deeds, whether open or secret. And bless our hearing, our sight, our hearts, our spouses, and our offspring. And turn to us in forgiveness, for indeed You are the Accepter of Repentance, the Most Merciful.
O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness in all matters, and resolve to follow the right path. I ask You for the ability to be grateful for Your favors and to worship You in the best manner. I ask You for a sound heart and a truthful tongue. I ask You for the good You know, and I seek refuge in You from the evil You know, and I ask Your forgiveness for what You know. Verily, You are the Knower of unseen matters.
All praise is due to Allah, much, pure, and blessed praise. (We praise Him) in a way that is not insufficient, nor is it bade farewell (meaning, we will always need Him), nor can we do without Him, our Lord.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is executed. Your decision concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept in Your absolute knowledge, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the remover of my worries.
O Allah, teach me wisdom, and bring me closer to understanding, and let me taste the sweetness of Your understanding, and do not deprive me of Your knowledge, and suffice me with Your comprehension, and open to me a clear opening.
Praise be to Allah, abundant, pure, and blessed praise, which is never insufficient, nor can it be dispensed with, nor can one ever feel independent of Him, our Lord.
O Allah, I ask You for the goodness of this place, the goodness of its people, and the goodness of all that You have decreed within it. I seek refuge in You from the evil of this place, the evil of its people, and the evil of all that You have decreed within it. O Allah, I ask You for its provision and the provision of its people, and I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil of its people, and the evil of all that You have decreed within it.
Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and our offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.
Affliction has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.
