O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is inevitable, and Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You, which You have revealed in Your Book, or You have taught to any one of Your creation, or You have preserved in Your knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my grief, and the remover of my worries.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and accepted deeds.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardship of tribulation, the attainment of misery, the evil of decree, and the rejoicing of enemies.
In the name of Allah. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from evil [all evil spirits, male and female].
Glory be to Him Who has subjected this to us, and we could never have accomplished it on our own. And to our Lord we are surely returning. O Allah, we ask You on this journey of ours for righteousness and piety, and for deeds that please You. O Allah, make this journey easy for us and shorten its distance for us. O Allah, You are the Companion on the journey and the Successor to the family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardships of the journey, and from a sorrowful sight, and from an evil turning back in property and family.
Praise be to Allah, abundant, pure, and blessed praise, praise that is never insufficient, never to be left, and from which we are never independent, our Lord.
