Duas to recite before going to sleep
In Your name, my Lord, I lay down my side, and in Your name I raise it. If You take my soul, then have mercy on it. And if You keep it (alive), then protect it with what You protect Your righteous servants with.
O Allah, I ask You to enable me to do good deeds and abandon evil deeds, and to love the poor. And when You intend to test Your creation, take me to Yourself without being tested. I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds which bring me closer to Your love.
In the name of Allah, and by Allah, and from Allah, and to Allah. There is no might nor power except with Allah. O Allah, I have submitted myself to You, and turned my face to You, and entrusted my affair to You, and sought refuge in You, desiring You and fearing You. There is no refuge nor salvation from You except with You. I believe in Your Book which You revealed, and in Your Prophet whom You sent.
O Allah, help me to remember You, to give thanks to You, and to worship You in the best manner.
Glory be to You, O Allah, our Lord, and praise be to You. O Allah, forgive me.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from being overwhelmed by debt and being overcome by men.
In Your name, my Lord, I lay down my side, and in Your name I raise it. If You should seize my soul, then forgive it, and if You should return it, then protect it with what You protect Your righteous servants with.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow. I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness. I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess. I seek refuge in You from being overcome by debt and from the overpowering of men.
In Your name, my Lord, I have laid down my side, and in Your name I raise it. If You seize my soul, then have mercy on it, and if You release it, then protect it with what You protect Your righteous servants.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the torment of the grave, and the torment of the Fire, and the trial of the grave, and the trial of wealth, and the evil of the trial of poverty, and the evil of the trial of the False Messiah (Dajjal).
In Your name, my Lord, I lay down my side, and in Your name I raise it. If You should take my soul, then have mercy upon it. And if You should return my soul, then protect it with what You protect Your righteous servants.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from associating anything with You knowingly, and I seek Your forgiveness for what I know not.
