O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is effective. Your judgment upon me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have called Yourself, or taught to any of Your creation, or revealed in Your Book, or that You have kept to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen with You, to make the night and day the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the end of my worries. O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is effective. Your judgment upon me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have called Yourself, or taught to any of Your creation, or revealed in Your Book, or that You have kept to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen with You, to make the light of truth in my sight, guidance in my religion, certainty in my heart, faith in my soul, wisdom in my intellect, strength in my body, patience in my resolve, and gratitude to You as long as You keep me alive, and independence from Your creation. O Allah, make me grateful to You, mindful of You, fearful of You, obedient to You, humble before You, and turning to You. My Lord, aid me and do not aid against me, grant me victory and do not grant victory against me, plan for me and do not plan against me, guide me and make my guidance easy, and grant me victory over whoever oppresses me. My Lord, make me grateful to You, mindful of You, awe-struck before You, humble before You, and turning to You. My Lord, accept my repentance, wash away my sins, answer my supplication, make my argument firm, guide my heart, set my tongue straight, and remove the malice from my chest.
