Duas taught by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
Glory be to Him Who has subjected this to us, and we could never have accomplished it by ourselves. And surely, to our Lord we are returning.
O Allah, forgive me my mistakes, my ignorance, my extravagance in my affairs, and whatever You know better about me. O Allah, forgive me my jesting and my seriousness, my unintentional and intentional sins, and my deliberate and my jesting. All of that is with me. O Allah, forgive me what I have put forth and what I have delayed, what I have concealed and what I have proclaimed, and whatever You know better about me. You are the One Who brings forth and You are the One Who delays; there is no god but You.
Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and our offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.
In Your name, my Lord, I lay down my side, and in Your name I raise it. If You take my soul, then have mercy on it. If You keep it, then protect it with what You protect Your righteous servants.
In the name of Allah, we enter, and in the name of Allah, we leave, and upon our Lord we depend.
"My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house as a believer and the believing men and women."
Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
O Allah, bless their measures and bless their Sa' and their Mudd (units of measure). O Allah, expand for them from Your provision and suffice them from famine. O Allah, bless them in Madinah, and provide for them from its fruits. O Allah, make Madinah as beloved to one of them as (or more beloved than) their own selves. Make it their helper, and overcome their enemies for them, and cause them to die in Your cause. O Allah, Ibrahim was Your servant and Your close friend and Your prophet, and I am Your servant and Your messenger. I ask You to bless me in Madinah as You blessed Ibrahim in Makkah. And I ask You to bless them with me. O Allah, I ask You to bless them in their Sa' and their Mudd, and in their fruits, and in their clothes, and in all the east and west of the earth, and to suffice them from the evil of every stubborn tyrant, and from the evil of disease, and the evil of trials, and the evil of envy, and to bring them out (from their homes) to You seeking what You have.
O Allah, You are the Pardoner, and You love to pardon, so pardon me.
O Allah, to You I complain of my weakness, my lack of resourcefulness, and my humiliation. O Most Merciful of the merciful! You are the Lord of the weak, and You are my Lord. To whom do You entrust me? To a distant stranger who frowns at me? Or to an enemy whom You have given power over me? If You are not angry with me, then I do not care. But Your well-being is more expansive for me. I seek refuge in the light of Your Face, by which the darkness is illuminated, and the affairs of this world and the hereafter are set right, from Your anger descending upon me, or Your wrath befalling me. I turn to You until You are pleased, and there is no might nor power except with You.
O Allah, fulfill for me what You have promised me. O Allah, give me what You have promised me. O Allah, if this band of Muslims perishes, You will not be worshipped on earth.
