Duas for strength in old age and caring for elderly parents
My Lord, grant me from among the righteous.
O Allah, forgive me all my sins, the small and the great, the first and the last, the open and the secret. O Allah, I ask You for faith in You, reliance on You, and a longing to meet You. O Allah, place light in my heart, light in my sight, light in my hearing, light to my right, light to my left, light in front of me, light behind me, light above me, light below me, and make light for me, and magnify light for me.
O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and all they cover, Lord of the earths and all they carry, Lord of the devils and all they lead astray, be my neighbor from the evil of all Your creation, lest any of them should rush upon me or transgress against me. Mighty is Your protection, and blessed is Your name, and there is no god but You. Or, Exalted is Your praise, and there is no god but You.
O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, support me, protect me, provide for me, and elevate me.
My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and of my descendants. Our Lord, and accept [my] supplication.
O Allah, I ask You to enable me to do good deeds, and to abandon evil deeds, and to love the poor, and that You forgive me and have mercy on me. And when You intend to try Your creation, take me to Yourself without putting me to trial. I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of any deed that will bring me closer to Your love.
O Allah, help me to remember You, to thank You, and to worship You in the best way.
O Allah, forgive him, have mercy upon him, grant him security, and pardon him. Honor his reception and make spacious his entry. Wash him with water, snow, and hail. Cleanse him of sins as a white garment is cleansed of dirt. Give him a home better than his home, a family better than his family, and a spouse better than his spouse. Admit him to Paradise and protect him from the punishment of the grave and the punishment of the Fire.
O Allah, make Your love more beloved to me than myself, my family, and than cold water.
O Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, our Lord and Lord of all things, the One who causes the grain and date-seeds to split and sprout, the Revealer of the Tawrah, the Injil, and the Furqan. I seek refuge in You from the evil of every evil creature You are seizing by its forelock. O Allah, You are the First, and there is nothing before You; You are the Last, and there is nothing after You; You are the Manifest, and there is nothing above You; You are the Hidden, and there is nothing nearer than You. Settle my debt and enrich me from poverty.
O Allah, forgive the Muslim men and Muslim women, and the believing men and believing women, those who are alive among them and those who are deceased. Verily, You are All-Hearing, Ever-Near, and Responder of prayers.
O Allah, help me to remember You, to give thanks to You, and to worship You in the best manner.
