Narrated by Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever possesses three qualities experiences the sweetness of faith: that Allah and His Messenger are more beloved to him than anything else; that he loves a person and he loves him only for the sake of Allah; and that he hates to revert to disbelief after Allah has saved him from it, as he would hate to be thrown into the fire." (Sunan At-Tirmidhi 3214). While the hadith discusses the sweetness of faith, the specific dua taught by the Prophet (peace be upon him) to Anas bin Malik focuses on the first point: making Allah's love the supreme love in one's heart. This supreme love is the key to accepting all of Allah's decrees, including the natural aging process and its accompanying challenges.
