Dua when looking in the mirror
O Allah, You have fashioned my creation and made it good, so forbid my face from the Fire.
O Allah, You created me and You guide me, and You feed me and You give me to drink. When I am sick, You cure me. You cause me to die and then You give me life. I hope that I will meet You without any displeasure from You. O Allah, I ask You by Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over creation, to keep me alive so long as life is better for me, and to cause me to die when death is better for me. O Allah, I ask You to grant me the fear of You in secret and in public. I ask You to let me speak the truth in times of contentment and anger. I ask You to make me moderate in poverty and wealth. I ask You for lasting bliss and for the delight of my eye which shall not be cut off. I ask You for contentment after Your decree, and for a pleasant life after death, and for the delight of beholding Your face, and for the longing to meet You. I seek refuge in You from shameful adversity and from misleading trials. O Allah, adorn us with the adornment of faith and make us guides, rightly guided, and do not make us misleadings or misguided. O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and contentment.
O Allah, You created me, and You give me my form. You feed me and You give me to drink. You cause me to die and You give me life. You will show me the good, and You fear (the consequences) for me of fate. So forgive me and the first of me and the last of me. And unite our hearts, and make our affair right, and reform the mutual hatred between us, and guide us to the paths of peace, and deliver us from the darkness to the light, and keep us away from indecencies, the apparent and the hidden from us, just as You have kept the east and the west far apart. O Allah, make faith beloved to us and adorn it in our hearts, and make disbelief, and wickedness, and disobedience hateful to us, and make us among the rightly guided.
O Allah, You created me and fashioned me, You taught me the Book and the accounting, You brought me the Islam, and You entrusted me with my affair. You created me with a good appearance. So, will I not ponder Your creation and be thankful? O Allah, just as You have made my outward form beautiful, so make my character beautiful, and protect me until You are pleased with me.
O Allah, grant my soul its piety and purify it, for You are the best of those who purify it. You are its Guardian and its Master. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart that does not feel humble, from a soul that is not satisfied, and from a supplication that is not heard.
O Allah, just as You have made my form beautiful, make my character beautiful.
O Allah, You have made my form beautiful, so make my character beautiful.
O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, I associate nothing with You. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my soul, and from the evil of Shaitan and his shirk (associating partners with Allah), and from bringing evil upon myself or leading any Muslim to it.
O Allah, make my form beautiful as You have made my creation beautiful, and protect my face from the Fire.
All praise is due to Allah. O Allah, just as You have made my form beautiful, make my character beautiful too.
O Allah, You have made my creation beautiful, so make my character beautiful.
O Allah, You have made my form beautiful, so make my character beautiful, and forbid my face from the Fire.
