Duas for various evening activities and settling down
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and accepted deeds.
O earth, my Lord and your Lord is Allah. I seek refuge in Allah from your evil, the evil of what is in you, the evil of what was created in you, and the evil of what crawls upon you. I seek refuge in Allah from every lion and black creature, from every serpent and scorpion, from the evil of the night walkers and the inhabitants of the night, and from the evil of the father and what He has begotten.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the suggestions of devils and from their presence.
O Allah, You have taken my soul and You will take it. To You belongs its life and death. If You keep my soul alive, protect it. If You cause it to die, forgive it. O Allah, I ask You for well-being.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the promptings of the devils, and from their being present.
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
With Your name, my Lord, I lie down, and with Your name I rise. If You take my soul, have mercy on it. And if You keep it, protect it with what You protect Your righteous servants.
O Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth and Lord of the Great Throne, our Lord and Lord of all things, the One who causes the grain and the date-stone to split and sprout, the Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Qur'an. I seek refuge in You from the evil of every creature You are seizing by its forelock. O Allah, You are the First, so there is nothing before You; You are the Last, so there is nothing after You; You are the Evident, so there is nothing above You; You are the Hidden, so there is nothing nearer than You. Discharge our debt and relieve us from poverty.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the passing away of Your favors, and the change of Your protection, and the suddenness of Your vengeance, and all of Your displeasure.
In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing can cause harm on earth or in heaven, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove this suffering. Heal, for You are the Healer. There is no healing but Your healing, a healing that leaves no illness behind.
