Duas for relief from anxiety, worry, and distress
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the disappearance of Your blessings, and the reversal of the safety You have granted, and the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that which angers You. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from them.
O Allah, I am Your slave, son of Your slave, son of Your female slave. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is effective. Your judgment concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen which is with You, that You make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my anxiety.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the overwhelming of debt and the subjugation of men.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever executed. Your judgment on me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or that You have taught to anyone from Your creation, or that You have revealed in Your Book, or that You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my worries.
O Allah, indeed I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever effective. Your judgment of me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen which is with You, to make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, and a banisher of my grief, and a reliever of my anxiety.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever effective, and Your judgment of me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to anyone from Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or kept in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my worries.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the decline of Your blessings, the change of Your protection, the suddenness of Your vengeance, and all that You are displeased with. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, from helplessness and laziness, from cowardice and stinginess, from the burden of debt and the oppression of men.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the subduing of men.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart that does not fear (You), from a soul that is never satisfied, and from a supplication that is not answered.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is executed. Your judgment upon me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen, that You make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my worries.
O Allah, I hope for Your mercy, so do not entrust me to my own self for even the span of an eye-blink, and set right all my affairs. There is no god but You.
"O Ever-Living, O Sustainer, by Your mercy I seek relief. Rectify for me all of my affairs and do not entrust me to myself for the span of an eye blink."
