O Allah, I seek Your guidance through Your knowledge, and I seek ability through Your power, and I ask for Your great bounty. For You decree and I do not decree, and You know and I do not know, and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter – (healing from trauma) – is good for me in my religion, my livelihood and my end – (or: 'in my present and my future') – then decree it for me, make it easy for me, and grant me blessing in it. And if You know that this matter – (healing from trauma) – is evil for me in my religion, my livelihood and my end – (or: 'in my present and my future') – then turn it away from me and turn me away from it, and decree for me whatever is good, and make me pleased with it.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is effective. Your judgment upon me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or that You have taught to any of Your creation, or that You have revealed in Your Book, or that You have retained in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my grief, and the reliever of my worries.
O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, grant me well-being, and provide for me.
O Allah, help me to remember You, to thank You, and to worship You in the best manner.
O Allah, grant us rain. O Allah, grant us rain. O Allah, grant us rain.
O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.
In the name of Allah we enter, and in the name of Allah we leave, and in Allah, our Lord, we put our trust.
O Allah, I ask You for patience in the face of Your decree, and gratitude for Your blessings, and contemplation of Your command. And aid me in remembering You, and thanking You, and worshipping You in the best way. And I seek refuge in You from the trials of the hearts and from the punishment of the Fire.
O Allah, increase me in knowledge.
O Allah, I ask You for faith in You and belief in Your Prophet. I ask You for gratitude for Your blessings, and I ask You for the ability to worship You well. I ask You for a sound heart and a truthful tongue. I ask You for the best of what You know, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of what You know. I seek Your forgiveness for what You know. Indeed, You are the Knower of the unseen.
O Allah, I ask You for knowledge of the unseen, and the ability to do that which is decreed. I ask You for contentment after the decree, and a pleasant life after death. O Allah, I ask You for an increase in faith, a blessing in life, health in the body, abundance in sustenance, repentance before death, mercy at death, and forgiveness after death. O Allah, make the pangs of death easy for us, and save us from the Fire, and forgive us at the time of reckoning.
