O Allah, just as You have made my form beautiful, so make my character beautiful.
O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and contentment.
O Allah, guide me to the best of character, for no one can guide to the best of it except You. And turn me away from bad character, for no one can turn away from bad character except You.
O Allah, I ask You for the goodness of this journey and the goodness of what it contains, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this journey and the evil of what it contains. O Allah, I ask You for the goodness of the outcome, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of the outcome.
O Allah, I ask You for patience during what I dislike, and a happy life after this [life]. And I ask You for coolness of the eye that does not cease. And I ask You for contentment after Your decree, and I ask You for the pleasantness of life after death, and I ask You for the delight of looking at Your Face, and longing to meet You, without any distressing harm or misleading trial. O Allah, adorn us with the adornment of faith, and make us guides who guide others and are guided.
All praise is for Allah Who has clothed me with this garment and provided it for me without any strength or power from myself.
In the name of Allah, our Lord, Allah, who is in heaven. Hallowed be Your name. Your command is in heaven and on earth. Just as Your mercy is in heaven, make Your mercy on earth. Forgive us our sins and mistakes. You are the Lord of the good things. Send down a cure from Your cure and a medicine from Your medicine upon this pain, so that it may be healed by Your permission.
Glory be to Him Who has subjected this to us, and we could never have accomplished it by ourselves. And indeed, to our Lord we will surely return.
O Allah, suffice me with what You have permitted instead of what You have forbidden, and enrich me with Your bounty, so that I may not need anyone but You.
O Allah, I seek guidance from Your knowledge, and strength from Your power, and I ask for Your tremendous bounty. For You have power, and I have no power; You have knowledge, and I have no knowledge; and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter (mention your matter here: e.g., this engagement/this friendship/this decision regarding my family) is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and my Hereafter (or he said: for my present and my future), then decree it for me, make it easy for me, and bless it for me. And if You know that this matter is bad for me in my religion, my livelihood, and my Hereafter (or he said: for my present and my future), then turn it away from me, and turn me away from it, and decree for me that which is good wherever it may be, and make me content with it.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from grief and distress, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the overpowering of men.
All praise is for Allah Who has clothed me with this (garment) and provided it for me, without any power or strength on my part.
