I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the whispers of the devils and from their presence.
A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min ghadabihi wa 'iqabihi wa sharri 'ibadihi wa min hamazatis-shayateeni wa an yahdhurun

This is a comprehensive supplication that can be recited at any time, but it's particularly beneficial to remember when you feel the stirrings of anger or are in a situation that might provoke it. It's a shield you carry, ready to be invoked against the destructive force of rage.

Recite this dua with sincerity and a firm belief in the power of Allah's words. Focus on the meaning, seeking Allah's protection from the internal turmoil of anger and its external consequences. The Prophet ﷺ taught us that the best supplications are those that are comprehensive, and this one certainly fits that description.
Virtues & Benefits
Anger, if unchecked, can lead to immense regret, broken relationships, and actions that displease Allah. This dua calls upon the perfect words of Allah, the ultimate source of protection, to shield us from His justified anger and punishment, the evil influences of mankind, and the constant temptations of Shaytan that can fuel our rage. By seeking refuge in Allah's perfect words, we are seeking the highest form of protection against the spiritual and worldly harms of anger.
Source & Authentication
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'A servant does not say: "A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min ghadabihi wa 'iqabihi wa sharri 'ibadihi wa min hamazatis-shayateeni wa an yahdhurun", except that nothing will harm him.' (Ahmad also narrated it, and the chain of narrators was good.) Transliteration of the Arabic text is as follows: أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ غَضَبِهِ وَعِقَابِهِ وَشَرِّ عِبَادِهِ وَمِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَأَنْ يَحْضُرُونِ Translation: "I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the whispers of the devils and from their presence."
