O Allah, I seek Your guidance through Your knowledge, and I seek ability through Your power, and I ask of Your great bounty. For You decree and I cannot decree, You know and I cannot know, and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter (mention your need here) is good for me in my religion, my worldly life, and my Hereafter (or: for my present and my future), then decree it for me, make it easy for me, and bless it for me. And if You know that this matter is bad for me in my religion, my worldly life, and my Hereafter (or: for my present and my future), then turn it away from me, and turn me away from it, and decree for me that which is good wherever it may be, and make me content with it.
O Allah, I seek the best from You, by Your knowledge, and I seek Your ability (to do this deed), and I ask of Your immense favor. For indeed You have power and I have no power, You have knowledge and I have no knowledge, and You are the Knower of the unseen.
O Allah, I ask You for the good of this sea and the good of what is in it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this sea and the evil of what is in it, and the evil of what is upon it, and the evil of what crawls upon it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of Iblis and his armies, and from the evil of every creature whose forelock You are holding. Indeed, my Lord is on a straight path.
I seek Your forgiveness. All praise is due to Allah Who removed from me the harm and granted me well-being.
In the name of Allah, with the soil of our land and the saliva of some of us, may our sick be healed by the permission of our Lord.
O Allah, benefit me with what You have taught me, teach me what benefits me, and increase me in knowledge.
