Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 7:72

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا.

O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.

When to Read

This dua is perfect for reciting at any time, but it's particularly powerful when you're starting a new venture, embarking on a job search, seeking a promotion, or simply need Allah's guidance and blessings in your daily work and efforts. Reciting it after Fajr prayer, as the Prophet ﷺ used to do, is highly recommended as it sets a positive tone for the day.

Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to say when he greeted the two rak'ahs (before) the dawn prayer: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.' (O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.)
