O Allah, let this [new year] enter upon us with security and faith, and with safety and Islam, and with success in what You love and what You approve.
In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.
O Allah, I ask You for its goodness, the goodness of what is within it, and the goodness of its people. And I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil of what is within it, and the evil of its people.
In the name of Allah. The earth with its quarters, the king with his grasp, creation with its numbers, and the affair with its wisdom all vanish. O Allah, I ask You for its goodness, the goodness of its people, and the goodness of all that is in it. And I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil of its people, and the evil of all that is in it, and from the evil of themselves and the evil of what has preceded in it.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your judgment upon me is inevitable. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sorrow, and the reliever of my anxiety.
In the name of Allah. O Allah, I ask You for its goodness and the goodness of what it was made for, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of what it was made for. O Allah, bless me with it.
In the name of Allah, I trust in Allah. And there is no might nor power except with Allah.
O Allah, begin it upon us with security and faith, and safety and Islam, my Lord and your Lord is Allah.
Allah is the Greatest. O Allah, let it appear upon us with security and faith, with safety and Islam, and with success in following what You love and approve. My Lord and your Lord is Allah.
O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness in all affairs, and determination in righteousness. I ask You for the things that bring about Your mercy and Your forgiveness, and I ask You to enable me to be grateful for Your favors and to worship You well. I ask You for a sound heart and a truthful tongue. I ask You for the good that You know, and I seek refuge in You from the evil that You know. I seek Your forgiveness for what You know. Indeed, You are the Knower of all unseen matters.
"None has the right to be worshipped except You, Glorified are You. O Allah, I have wronged my soul, so forgive me my sins. Indeed, no one forgives sins except You."
O Allah, indeed I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever executed. Your judgment upon me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any one of Your creation, or kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen which You possess, that You make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my grief, and the reliever of my anxiety.
