O Allah, Lord of the heavens and the earth, Lord of all things, the One who causes the grain and the date-stone to split and sprout, the Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Qur'an. I seek refuge in You from the evil of every evil-doer whose forelock You are holding. O Allah, You are the First, and there is nothing before You; You are the Last, and there is nothing after You; You are the Most显 (Zahir), and there is nothing above You; You are the Most Hidden (Batin), and there is nothing nearer than You. Pay off my debt and rid me of poverty.
O Allah, grant me wisdom, and grant me righteousness.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the severity of trials, the falling of misery, the evil of decree, and the rejoicing of enemies.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from thunderbolts, destruction, drowning, burning, and from falling to death, and from the devil taking hold of me at the time of death, and from dying in Your cause whilst turning my back, and from dying from a poisonous sting.
O Allah, bless our trade and transactions until we are content and equal. O Allah, make it a lawful and pure provision.
O Allah, forgive [Name of the deceased], son of [Father's Name] (or daughter of [Mother's Name]), and elevate his rank among those who are rightly guided. And be his successor among those who remain. Forgive us and him, O Lord of the Worlds. And make his grave spacious for him and illuminate it for him.
We seek Your forgiveness. All praise is due to Allah, Who has removed from me that which was harmful and granted me well-being.
O Allah, forgive me my sins, all of them, the minor and the major, the first and the last, the apparent and the hidden.
O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and contentment.
In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.
O Allah, grant my soul its righteousness, and purify it, for You are the Best Purifier. You are its Guardian and its Master. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart that does not feel humble, from a soul that is not satisfied, and from a supplication that is not answered.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and deeds that are accepted.
