Narrated Anas: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When a man goes out of his house and says: 'Bismillah, tawakkaltu 'alallahi, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.' (In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah), it will be said to him: 'You are sufficed (from all evil), protected and guided.' So, the devil will stay away from him." Then one of the companions said: "O Messenger of Allah! How shall we be protected when the devils are upon the earth?" He said: "They do not have access to him (when he says this)." - Sunan Abi Dawud 5095 (also found in Tirmidhi 3426, with slight variations in wording)
