Duas for sitting together, starting meetings, and leaving gatherings
All praise is due to Allah by Whose grace good deeds are perfected. O Allah, I ask You for the good of this matter and the good of what is in it and the good of what comes after it. And I seek refuge in You from the evil of this matter and the evil of what is in it and the evil of what comes after it.
My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] and ease for me my task and untie the knot from my tongue that they may understand my speech.
O Allah, rectify for me my religion, which is the safeguard of my affair; rectify for me my worldly life in which is my livelihood; and rectify for me my Hereafter, to which is my return. Make life an increase for me in every good, and make death a rest for me from every evil.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and acceptable deeds.
My Lord, expand my chest [with assurance] and make my task easy and untie the knot from my tongue that they may understand my speech.
He said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance]. And ease for me my task. And untie the knot from my tongue. That they may understand my speech."
O Allah, teach me what benefits me from You. O Allah, teach me the Book and wisdom.
In the name of Allah. O Allah, I seek refuge for him and his offspring with You from the accursed Satan.
Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You. I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness and I turn to You in repentance.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your decree concerning me prevails. Your judgment of me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or kept exclusively to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sorrow, and the reliever of my anxiety.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil day, the evil night, the evil hour, the evil companion, the evil neighbor, the evil household, and from all evil.
O Allah, I ask You for the good of it (this partnership/venture) and the good of what You have predisposed it to, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of it and the evil of what You have predisposed it to.
