Ibn Abu Dabbah (or Ibn 'Abdullah bin Abu Dabbah) narrated from Abu 'Abdullah al-Jadali that he heard Umm Salamah, the wife of Allah's Apostle ﷺ, say: Allah's Messenger ﷺ said: 'When you see a newborn, recite: Bismillahi, Allahumma a'idhu bika wa dhurriyyatahu minash-Shaytanir-rajim.' Umm Salamah said: 'When Abu Salamah died, I said this dua for his two children, and indeed, they were protected from Satan, the accursed.'
