O Allah, I seek refuge in You from grief and sadness, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the overwhelming of debt and the subjugation of men.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the whisperings of devils, and from their presence.
O Allah, we make You their shield and seek refuge in You from their evils.
O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.

Our Lord, pour down upon us patience and cause us to die as Muslims [in submission to You].

O Allah, indeed I am Your slave, son of Your slave, son of Your female slave. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is effective. Your judgment upon me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen which You possess, that You make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my anxiety.
O Allah, we place You before them and we seek refuge in You from their evil.
O Allah, make our affair easy for us.
