O Allah, I seek Your guidance through Your knowledge, and I seek ability through Your power. I ask of Your immense grace, for indeed You have power and I have none, You have knowledge and I know not, and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter (name the need: the friendship of so-and-so) is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the end of my affairs – both in this world and the Hereafter – then ordain it for me, make it easy for me, and bless it for me. And if You know that this matter is bad for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the end of my affairs – both in this world and the Hereafter – then turn it away from me, and turn me away from it, and ordain for me whatever is good, and make me content with it.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is effective, and Your judgment upon me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or which You have retained in the knowledge of the unseen with You, to make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my anxiety.
All praise is due to Allah Who has clothed me with this (garment) and provided it for me, without any power on my part or strength.
O Allah, benefit us by what You have taught us, and teach us that which will benefit us, and increase us in knowledge.
O Allah, bless them in their eyes, and let them taste the sweetness of Your provision, and make them [fully] submit (to You), and make them companions of the right hand (in Paradise), and bestow upon them the best of blessings, and make them a bounty upon their parents, and nourish them with the water of faith, and manifest Your religion through them.
O Allah, unite our hearts, and rectify that which is between us. Guide us to the ways of peace. Save us from darkness and bring us to light. Keep us away from all lewdness, whether open or secret. Bless our hearing, our sight, our hearts, our spouses, and our offspring. Accept our repentance, for You are the Acceptor of repentance, the Most Merciful.
O Allah, unite our hearts, and reconcile our differences, and guide us to the ways of peace. Deliver us from darkness into light. Keep us away from all shameful deeds, outward and inward. Bless our hearing, our sight, our hearts, our spouses, and our offspring. Accept our repentance, for indeed You are the Ever-Relenting, the Merciful.
O Allah, just as You have made my form beautiful, make my character beautiful too.
O Ever-Living, O Self-Subsisting, by Your mercy I seek relief. Rectify for me all of my affairs and do not entrust me to myself even for the blink of an eye.
O Allah, assist me in remembering You, thanking You, and worshipping You in the best manner.
O Allah, guide my parents to Your Fitra (natural inclination to Islam) and make them among the rightly guided.
In the name of Allah. I seek refuge in Allah from the evil of those who blow upon knots, and from the evil of the envier when he envies.
