Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'The people of the desert asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) for rain during his address, so he raised his hands and supplicated: "O Allah, grant us rain! O Allah, grant us rain! O Allah, grant us rain!" He then said: "People! Your Lord is blessed and glorious. He has sent you the rain in your mountains and valleys, and in the places of the springs."' Sahih al-Bukhari 1011. This event occurred during a Friday sermon in the Prophet's mosque when rain was desperately needed.
