How to Read
This dua is a direct plea to Allah. It is recommended to raise one's hands during the supplication, a sign of humility and earnest seeking. The repetition emphasizes the desperation and sincere need. It's also Sunnah to turn one's cloak (ridā') inside out during the Istisqa' (prayer for rain) as a symbolic act of turning from a state of hardship to a state of ease, mirroring the plea for a change in condition through Allah's mercy.
Virtues & Benefits
Seeking rain through this dua is seeking Allah's mercy, which encompasses all of His creation. Animals and livestock are a vital part of our lives and the ecosystem.
