The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this comprehensive dua, highlighting its importance.

Source & Authentication

It was narrated from Tariq bin Ashyam, who heard from Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'When a person performs Wudu and then recites the supplication: 'Subhanakallahumma wa bihamdika, la ilaha illa anta, astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayka' (Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You. There is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance), it is sealed with a seal and is not broken until the Day of Resurrection.' It was also narrated that he said: 'When a person performs Wudu and says: 'Allahumma-ghfir li warhamni wahdini wahfadhni warzuqni' (O Allah, forgive me and have mercy on me, guide me, protect me and provide for me), the seven parts of his body that he washed would be washed clean, and it would be written for him the like of that, and he would be raised in status.'
