My Lord, grant me from among the righteous.

O Allah, I seek Your counsel through Your knowledge, and I seek ability through Your power, and I ask for Your immense favor. For You decree and I cannot decree, and You know and I cannot know, and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter (and mention your need: marriage to... / proposing to...) is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the end of my affairs (or he said: in my present and future), then decree it for me, make it easy for me, and bless it for me. And if You know that this matter is evil for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the end of my affairs (or he said: in my present and future), then turn it away from me and turn me away from it, and decree for me the good wherever it may be, and make me satisfied with it.
O Allah, I ask You for its goodness and the goodness of what You have decreed for it, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of what You have decreed for it.
