The hadith narrates that Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that a man came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and said: 'I have a worry weighing on my mind and a debt.' The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied: 'Shall I not teach you words that, if you say them, Allah will remove your worry and pay off your debt?' Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'Yes, teach me.' The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Say every morning and evening: *Allahumma akfini bihalalika 'an haramik, wa aghnini bifadlika 'amman siwak*.'
