Virtues & Benefits
By asking for 'beneficial knowledge,' we seek understanding that guides us towards what is right and deters us from wrongdoing. 'Goodly provision' encompasses not just wealth but anything that sustains us, and by asking for it to be 'tayyib' (pure and lawful), we avoid relying on means that might lead to sin. Finally, asking for 'accepted deeds' means asking Allah to enable us to perform actions that are pleasing to Him and to accept them from us, which inherently involves striving to stay away from what displeases Him.
