بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing harms on earth nor in the heavens, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

Bismillahi alladhi la yadhurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa Huwas-Samee'ul-Aleem

How to Read

Recite it sincerely and with full conviction in Allah's power to protect. Utter the words clearly and contemplate their meaning. It is recommended to recite it three times for maximum benefit.

Narrated by Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'He who says: *Bismillahi alladhi la yadhurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa Huwas-Samee'ul-Aleem* (In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing harms on earth nor in the heavens, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing) – three times in the morning, will not be afflicted by any sudden calamity until the evening. And he who says it in the evening, will not be afflicted by any calamity until the morning.' (Sunan Abi Dawud 5087).
